Yoga in the Park Begins Saturday May 1

YOGA IN THE PARK BEGINS SATURDAY MAY 1!!
May Day marks the beginning of our Yoga in the Park series of free yoga classes for the community. I feel excited and nervous, because there seems to be a lot of energy generated around yoga now, which is a beautiful thing! Chris Gordon has been teaching free yoga at the library for a month now, and there is a dedicated group a people that faithfully show up and learn from his brilliant, Anusara style, full of devotion. Several neighborhood people attend yoga on Wed. AM at Oxford Rec Center for the Vinyasa class with Susan Schwartz, who again, is a gifted teacher.
When Jessica and I decided to do a series of 8 weeks, I was worried that it would be too much, and nobody would come. I was wrong! I have had many people ask me about Midway Movement Arts Project, and even some neighborhood parents seem interested in generating some energy around children's yoga, which seems to be a definite need. The energy is brilliant and amazing right now, in the thick of spring, with blooming abundance all around.
I am looking forward to serving the neighborhood in this way, and hope that it will catch on, and maybe we can plan a late summer session as well. Until Saturday arrives, let your Inner Light shine on all who you cross paths with. The Inner Light can be a beacon in a dark place for yourself and those around you. Seek that place of stillness, which can be hard in the lifestyles we create for ourselves. Just a few minutes a day, of quiet relaxation will begin to work wonders on your mind and your body.
See you Saturday. Bring a wrap or sweatshirt to keep yourself warm during subtle work.
Namaste.
